The 2019 rainy season input distribution was flagged off with Support to 800 Women and Youth Farmers groups of 30 members by group, with Fertilizers and other inputs such as seeds, seedlings, pre and post environmental pesticides as well as energy-free irrigation Pumps that use neither petrol nor diesel, popularly known as kick start pumps for the 800 hectares to scale up paddy production and further close the country’s food and nutrition security gaps. The event took place at WOFAN’s Rice Milling and Value Addition Center in Kano as part of an intervention supported by the United States Africa Development Fund (USADF) and Diamond Development Initiatives (DDI) in partnership with WOFAN Enterprise. |
